Delete your account
You can delete your Byadala account at any time, here or in the app under Profile → Delete account. It happens straight away and cannot be undone.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your sign-ins, on every phone and computer
- Your watch history, My List and downloads
- Any pass you have, including time left on it
- Your notification settings and the messages we sent you
- Your conversations with us, and any pictures or videos you sent
- Your email address on films you asked us to add
What is kept, and why
- Records of payments you made — the amount, the date, the plan and the payment provider's reference, with only the last three digits of the number you paid from. We are required to keep financial records, and this is enough to settle a Mobile Money dispute without saying who you are.
- Viewing statistics — which films were watched and for how long, tied only to a random device code that no longer leads to you.
- If a creator was paid for inviting you, their earnings record stays, so their payments still add up — without your details on it.
Deleting your account does not refund any unused part of a pass. See our privacy policy for the rest.
